The PEI Cannabis Management Corporation will be responsible for the distribution and sales of cannabis in Prince Edward Island.
Prince Edward Island's residents will be able to purchase seeds and seedlings and grow up to four plants per household. Plants must be kept in a place inaccessible to minors, and renters must obtain their landlord's consent for home growing.
Purchased cannabis must be transported in either the unopened original packaging or, if already open, the product must be secure and inaccessible to anyone in the vehicle.
Supply deals were made with 11 Licensed Producers and 1 accessory provider.

In one of the four government-run stand-alone retail locations (Charlottetown, Summerside, Montague, and West Prince) and online through a website also run by the PEI government.
19 years is the minimum age to buy, carry, use, and share.
Public Use will not be allowed. Cannabis use will be permitted only in private residences or vacant land with the owner's permission. Designated public spaces for cannabis consumption might be allowed later on.
